  13. Noticed a few things about the new 4.0 pre-release Modeler that I
  14. haven't seen mentioned before, so I thought I'd, um, mention them:

  16. * Merge Polys is much improved... instead of leaving a string of
  17.   connected points on the interior area of the adjacent polygons,
  18.   it now disconnects those points and leaves a nice polygon
  19.   around the exterior perimeter of the original polys. (This is,
  20.   in addition to being really neat, kinda hard to describe.)

  22. * Metaform handles adjacent, non-selected polygons differently. Not
  23.   sure if this is an improvement, but it makes some interesting
  24.   patterns. :)

  26. * Cool blue surface normals.

  28. * Keyboard Shortcuts is under the F12 key.

  30. Anyone (Stuart?) know the meaning of the strange little symbol that
  31. occasionly replaces the ' (ft.) indicator in the position readout
  32. when using English measurements? It occurs at very large numbers,
  33. in the range of thousands of feet and up. And at _really_ large
  34. grid sizes, the whole grid size entry changes to a string of these
  35. symbols.
  36. Meters-to-feet round-off errors, maybe? FPU run out of precision?
